The Colonie Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a Best Western Hotel on Thursday, Jan. 31.
Two suspects entered the Best Western Hotel lobby at 200 Wolf Road at 2:10 a.m., one displaying a grey-colored semi-automatic handgun while going behind the desk, police said. The second suspect stood by the front door during the robbery. The desk clerk was told to open the cash drawer and gave the suspect about $570, police said. No shots were fired and there were no injuries. The suspects were last seen fleeing in a southerly direction in the parking lot of the hotel.
The armed suspect who confronted the desk clerk is described as a black male in his mid 20’s, 150 pounds, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with faded blue jeans and gloves. The suspect who stood by the front door is described as a white male in his mid 20’s, 6’, 170 pounds, with dirty blond hair, brush cut, wearing a black jacket with gloves and may have had a red and black checkered scarf underneath the jacket.
