An undercover investigation by the Albany County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of four people at the Methadone Treatment Clinic in Albany, according to an announcement on Monday, May 14.
Police said County Comptroller Michael Connors received a complaint on the whistle blowers hotline indicating several people were getting methadone and either selling it or other illegal drugs at the Methadone Treatment Clinic located in Albany at Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center. Undercover sheriff’s investigators went to the clinic on three different dates and purchased drugs from subjects who were loitering around the clinic, said police.
Elaena Fred, 54, of 4 Early Dr. in Watervliet and Crystal D. Roldan, 21, of 1162 New Loudon Rd. in Cohoes were arrested after they sold Xanax pills and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony, according to police.
Luis F. Martinez, 56, of 252 Elk St. in Albany was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony, according to police.
Brittany M. Gregory, 21, of 26 Martindale Terrace Rd. in Hudson Falls was arrested for selling a bag of heroin to a police informant and during the time of the sale Gregory’s 2-month-old daughter was present, leading to charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, according to police. Gregory’s daughter was turned over to a family member who was waiting nearby with Gregory’s 3-year-old son, said police.
