ALBANY — A woman in her 80s with underlying health issues died from Thursday to Friday.
All but two of the 67 fatalities were older than 60 and all but one had underlying health issues.
As of Friday, there were 1,425 positive cases in Albany County, according to County Executive Dan McCoy, with 936 people who have recovered. More than 400 of the positive cases are residents or employees of 10 nursing homes in the county.
The state Department of Health COVID-19 dashboard says there are 1,538 cases in Albany County. It is but one discrepancy between the county’s accounting of data related to the virus and the state’s numbers.
There are 29 county residents in the hospital as of Friday for a rate of 2 percent.
