ALBANY — Tucked behind the busy shops of Wolf Road and the natural scenery of the Crossings Park lies a new building of The Residence at The Crossings luxury apartments.
Following on the heels of the fully leased-out original building, the Residence at The Crossings opened its second building at 32 Aviation Road on Jan. 14, and has sold 40 leases since then. Laura Crisafulli, the property manager, finds that one of the major draws of the complex is its location, being within walking distance to Trader Joe’s, Macy’s, and a walking trail, but so too is the warm and friendly community.
The Residence staff put on events for residents like movie nights in the courtyard with an inflatable screen and popcorn machine, as well as an international-themed potluck dinner. This has evolved over time and Crisafulli says these events are to “Get the community together, (and) they actually make their own events themselves.” Residents gathering in one of the building’s two lounges chatting over coffee and pastries from the complimentary coffee machines throughout the building have become a common sight for Crisafulli.
The coffee machines are one of several amenities of the Residence, which also holds a fitness center with a gym, and on-demand video fitness studio where residents can get video guides on various exercises. Meanwhile, the business center offers an appealing option for professionals working from home. During the summer the Residence also has two gas grills and a fire pit for resident’s use, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, making it a great place to spend a summer afternoon with family and friends.
The Residence offers a great option for anyone that wants to be able to walk through a scenic park, out to Colonie’s best selection of restaurants, and back to a luxury apartment within a warm community, all in one relaxing evening.
