COLONIE — Schools are closed but some people still have to work so the Colonie Youth Center is offering childcare to essential employees.
The CYC is working with the North and South Colonie school district to provide full-day programming to children in grades K through sixth at the Rudy A. Ciccotti Family Recreation Center at 30 Aviation Road.
Initial registration will include Wednesday, March 25 through Friday, April 3, which will be extended as directed.
The cost is $40 per day per child. Lunches will be provided by the school districts with snacks provided by CYC.
The program will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and include self-directed education time, arts and crafts and gym time. There will not be access to the aquatic center.
Electronic devices are allowed and Wi-Fi is available.
Transportation is not provided and subsidized care is not available at this time.
