The 2019 Stewart’s Holiday Match program raised more than $1.79 million for local children’s organizations.
From Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day, Stewart’s customers donated more than $895,000 to the program. Each individual donation is matched penny for penny by Stewart’s Shops. There are no administrative costs and 100 percent of the funds benefit local, non-profit children’s organizations.
The total raised each day increased by an average of 5 percent in all 336 shops compared to last year.
“The $30 million success story of the Holiday Match program continues, since 1986, with the hard work of our shop partners and the generosity of our customers,” says Amy Potter, Stewart’s Director of Corporate Contributions. “Together, we will help thousands of children in our 31 county market area.”
Last year’s Holiday Match campaign benefited 1,830 children’s organizations.
All local children’s charities are encouraged to apply for funding annually from the Holiday Match program. Organizations can apply online at stewartsshops.com through Jan. 31. All groups applying must be locally based, benefit children under 18, and be a qualified, charitable 501c3 organization. All the funds will be allocated in March.
