COHOES —  The Music Hall Arts Alliance, led by Holly Brown, formerly the executive director of the Palace Theatre, announced series of new shows for the first time since taking over mangement of the Cohoes Music Hall at the start of the year.

“I am pleased to announce some great additions to our schedule, with more to come, said Brown. “I am also grateful to the Mayor, City Council and Cohoes Economic Development Department for their commitment and continued support of our work at the Music Hall, and for realizing the importance of this historic theatre.  That commitment can be seen in many areas, but most recently in the beautiful improvements to the Remsen Street sidewalks and streetscapes,” Brown stated.  “Through this partnership we will continue to grow and broaden our programs at this unique venue, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds,” she continued.

Tickets for the following shows are on sale now:

While their style is rooted in “straight-ahead” jazz, their concerts reveal an inherent ability to naturally integrate the influences of funk, blues and world music. The group’s creativity, technique and improvisation can be heard in their uncompromising music, which reflects their dedication to melody, rhythm, culture and the spontaneous spirit of jazz.
