He has been in practice on Union Street in Schenectady since 1979 and has been treating dental implant cases for over 30 years. Gold has taken more than 2500 hours of continuing dental education in all phases of dentistry, and is also very experienced in cosmetic procedures including porcelain veneers, computer milled crowns and bridges, teeth whitening and bonding.
Continuing education and advanced technology have always been at the forefront of his thinking; he utilizes digital x-rays which minimize radiation exposure and are environmentally friendly, a dental laser for gentle and more quickly healing gum and soft tissue procedures and gentle air abrasion which allows him to treat early decay often without the need for local anesthesia. When novocaine is necessary, he uses a state of the art computer modulated device called “The Wand” which allows for absolutely painless injections—most people literally don’t realize they have even been given a shot. He also uses a Velscopdv, which is one of the most effective screening tools available for oral cancer.
