Mattress Xpress started business in 2013, and has since become the go-to location for mattress purchases in the Capital District.
And, now with three locations in Schenectady, Albany and (soon-to-be) Halfmoon, its reach has been extended through all of Tech Valley.
“Where else can you go and get major brand name beds at these prices?” asked Pogge, rhetorically. “I have made it possible for every budget to come in and buy a bed; our high end beds that are basically 50 percent off of the other prices. I filled a need. … and it just keeps getting better.”
Pogge said that another factor to his mattress company’s success is the education of his staff. The sales staff is trained to guide customers with selecting the right bed for their needs. “You can walk in, buy a mattress and leave with it or arrange same-day delivery.”
Mattress Xpress has the reputation of selling mattress at deep discounts compared to leading department stores. But, what it also offers to customers is the right furniture to go along with that mattress — regular beds, adjustable beds, dressers and bunk beds.
