The driver of a car that struck three other vehicles on the Delmar Bypass last week will be ticketed for several traffic violations.
Isabel Glastetter, 59, of Delmar, on Monday, Aug. 15, hit two vehicles stopped at a traffic light at Murray Avenue, crossed the road and struck another car then drove into a ditch and hit a tree, according to police. Five were sent to the hospital after the crash, including Glastetter. She’s being ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt, failing to reduce speed at an intersection and driving across a divided highway.
Police could not interview her immediately because she was taken to the hospital, but according to a department representative Glastetter said she was driving home and was not feeling well at the time of the accident. She has no recollection of the accident, police said, though it has not been determined that the cause of the crash was a medical issue.
A sixth person was treated on the scene of the accident and released.`
