The Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce has a new president in Jennifer Kilcoyne.
A 20-year Glenmont resident, Kilcoyne will be a familiar face for many in the Capital District. She’s worked for WMHT as a senior corporate support representative, and most recently was manager of group sales at Proctors Theater in Schenectady.
Working for non profits for nearly all of my career, you definitely have to learn different areas of business, Kilcoyne said. `I’m looking forward to utilizing those skills.
Kilcoyne will replace longtime president Marty DeLaney, who retired in the fall after serving in that position since 1986. Kilcoyne said she’s impressed by what DeLaney accomplished in her tenure.
`I’m definitely honored,` Kilcoyne said. `I definitely plan on continuing to build on the work Marty has done over the years.`
Kilcoyne will be assuming the office on Jan. 26. She said she’d be meeting with the Board of Directors to go over ideas in the near future. The board conducted a multimonth search for DeLaney’s replacement after she announced her retirement in August.
`We are pleased to have Jennifer lead the Chamber and look forward to working with her during these exciting times,` said Steve Thomas, chairman of the Board of Directors, in a statement.
Kilcoyne is a member of the New York Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association and Soroptomist of Schenectady.
