The State Police BCI at Clifton Park and Loudonville announced the arrest of Nicholas Cramer, 28, of Albany, on Monday, Aug. 23. Cramer, a substitute teacher for many local school districts, was arrested on charges of attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor, a class E felony and for attempted endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, according to police reports.
Cramer was arrested after arriving at a predetermined location where at he had made plans to meet two 14-year-old girls for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct, according to police reports.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Attorney General’s Office, the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Clifton Park BCI.
Cramer was arraigned in the Town of Guilderland Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to next appear on Thursday, Aug. 26.
As part of the ongoing investigation, State Police said they will be in contact with school administrators or agencies with whom Cramer had been employed in attempt to dentify any additional victims. Any minors who have been approached or have further information regarding inappropriate conduct committed by Cramer are being asked to contact State Police BCI in Clifton Park at 383-8583.
