The Colonie Police Department has reported a 2 month old girl died Aug. 23 from injuries sustained after a pedestrian accident that occurred on Aug. 21.
Egypt Marie Raybine was being carried by her mother, Elonia Edwards, 23, when she was struck by a car while waiting for a CDTA bus near the Village One Apartments on Broadway along with her two year old son.
As her son ran into the road, Edwards chased after him with Egypt in hand when all three were hit by driver Annette Holleger, according to police. Edwards and her son were taken to the Albany Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries and Holleger was unharmed.
Police said speed or alcohol did not cause the accident and the incident is currently under investigation.`
