New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Fulton and Saratoga County, and according to reports, checked 21 bars, liquor and convenience stores throughout the counties.
As part of the investigation, a person under the age of 21 was sent into each establishment in an attempt to have the clerk/bartender sell/serve the minor alcohol.
Two arrests were made during the initiative:
At the Old Trail Inn on 232 N Shore Rd. in Edinburg, Amanda L. Rousseau, 27, of Gloversville, was arrested for unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor, and unlawful sale of alcohol to minor, a violation.
At the Village Market on 49 N Main St. in Broadalbin, Brittany R. Urban, 19, of Broadalbin, was arrested for unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor, and unlawful sale of alcohol to minor, a violation.
Businesses where a violation takes place are referred to the New York State Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.`
