The Saratoga Springs Police Department Special Investigation Unit working jointly with the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested two subjects for being in possession of and selling illegal narcotics in the Saratoga Springs area, according to police reports.
Police arrested Shantik Smith, 30,of 1168 Stratford Ave. in the Bronx, on two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, for selling crack cocaine, according to reports.
Police also arrested Jerold C. Kelleher, 40, of Rowland Street in Ballston Spa, on three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, for selling and being in possession of crack cocaine, according to reports.
Both Smith and Kelleher have been remanded to the Saratoga County Jail.
The joint investigation by Saratoga Springs Police and the Task Force is a continuing effort by Law Enforcement agencies to combat narcotics trafficking in Saratoga Springs and the Capital District Region.
