If you owe more than $350 in parking tickets and live in Saratoga Springs, your name is now public.
The city’s Public Safety Department released the names of individuals who have outstanding parking tickets in excess of $350. Numerous attempts were made to collect the overdue fines, according to information from the city. The highest ticket is more than $2, 800.
There are 290 individuals who owe a total of $169,120 in overdue parking fines, according to the city, even though the department announced a two week amnesty program at the end of March in the hopes that people would take advantage of the reductions.
Police vehicles are now equipped with License Plate Readers that can immediately identify a vehicle that is on the list have it towed and stored until the fines are paid in full, said the city. This list contains the names and amounts owed as of 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20. Fines may be paid Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by credit card at www.saratoga-springs.org.
