Rabbi Yaakov Weiss, who practiced in the Town of Colonie, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering the welfare of a child on Monday, Jan. 11, according to Albany County Justice Stephen Herrick’s office.
Weiss was previously charged with two counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child,
before making the plea.
The offense dates back to 2007 and he faces up to 60 days in jail and three years probation. He is slated for sentencing on March 1, according to information from Herrick’s office.
