The Rotterdam Police Department is investigating several cases of larceny from vehicles in the Colonial Manor, Highbridge and Coldbrook neighborhoods in a press release on Jan. 12.
Each larceny has involved unlocked vehicles, with electronic equipment and change being stolen. The police department advises that all residents lock their vehicles and take valuables such as purses, pocketbooks, wallets and valuable electronics out of their vehicles overnight. If items are to be left in their vehicles overnight, they should be stored and locked in the trunk of the vehicle out of plain view.
In addition to securing vehicles, Rotterdam Police advise residents to keep their properties well lit overnight. Residents are encouraged to contact the Rotterdam Police Department if they observe any suspicious activity and anyone having any information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Rotterdam Police Department at 355-7731.`
