The Shaker/Colonie hockey team improved its Capital District High School Hockey League record to 4-0 with victories over Guilderland and South Glens Falls/Hudson Falls last weekend.
The Jets (6-1-1 overall) eased past Guilderland 7-0 last Friday at the Albany County Hockey Facility. Joe Chiara and Corey Brustle each scored two goals, and goaltender Jim Lanne stopped all 12 shots he faced to lead Shaker/Colonie.
Nick Kyratzis contributed a goal and two assists, and Ryan Phillips added a goal and an assist for the Jets. Doug Swezey and Cbris Cusack each chipped in two assists.
Shaker/Colonie kept the puck rolling last Saturday with a 12-0 home victory over South Glens Falls/Hudson Falls. Phillips and Kyratzis each recorded hat tricks and had multiple assists to lead a balanced Jet attack.
Chiara, Swezey and Brian Seniw all contributed two goals for Shaker/Colonie, and netminder Steve Reilly made nine saves for the shutout.
The Jets travel to Glens Falls Wednesday for their final game before Christmas. They return to the ice next Tuesday when they visit Bethlehem.
