An H1N1 Flu Shot Clinic will be held for students in the Ballston Spa Central School District on Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Wood Road Elementary School Gymnasium. The shots are free to all students who
reside in the district, ages four to 18, and no appointment is necessary.
The clinic is being offered by the Saratoga County Public Health Nursing Service.
Some things to note:
-Only the H1N1 shot is available.
-Children younger than 10 will need to receive a second dose after 28 days. Parents may arrange to receive it at a physician’s office, from public health or at a clinic for second doses that will be scheduled in the school as well.
-There is no anticipated shortage of the shot for students.
-Parents/guardians must be present to complete paperwork in
order for students to receive the shot. If children are sent with another adult, a parental permission letter must be sent in that is signed and dated.
