Crisafulli Bros. expanding to meet needs

Crisafulli Bros. Plumbing and Heating Contractors, Inc.,is celebrating its 70th year of serving the Capital District as one of the largest mechanical service firms in the area. The company provides plumbing, heating and air condition design, installation, service and scheduled maintenance to both residential and commercial customers.

While the past year has left many businesses in a lurch, Crisafulli Bros.’ commitment to providing its clientele with the highest quality service has only led to growth as the company adds new employees and trains current ones in cutting edge industry standards.

Andrea Russo, the third-generation president of this family-owned company, said though they have 70 employees, things are run with a small company emphasis on customer service.

We operate very much like a family business, she said. `We have the resources of a large company, but the owners are here every day and have relationships with our employees and our customers.`

Many of the company’s heating and cooling technicians are North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certified, according to Russo, and the rest are well on their way. That means that Crisafulli’s HVAC technicians are educated in the industry’s latest energy effi cient technologies and techniques. Their technicians, working from their familiar fleet of red trucks, will not only increase energy efficiency, but also decrease the need for maintenance, saving customers money all around.

`We’ve seen an increase in voluntary HVAC replacements,`

said Russo. `I think more people are in tune with environmental needs.`

Similarly, Crisafulli Bros.’ plumbers are undergoing Moen and Kohler certification. `That’s something we’re very proud of,` said Russo. All of the changes under way at Crisafulli are aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and service.

Their Web site, www.crisbro.com, is even getting a acelift with the addition of online coupons, energy saving ideas and safe and easy tips that homeowners can do themselves.

`During difficult economic times, we recognize the importance of customer retention, and that’s our emphasis this year,` said Russo.

That emphasis starts with employee relations, and the company hired a new service manager in 2008 to better facilitate that element.

`We very much believe in our relationship with our employees, because the way we treat our employees will reflect in the way our employees treat our customers,` said Russo.

The company also believes in upholding community relations, often working with the Ronald McDonald House, sponsoring baseball teams and getting involved in community events year-round.

With a wide selection of quality brands, including newly added Lennox furnaces, knowledgeable and courteous technicians and the ability to cover any project from start to finish, Crisafulli Bros. is surely the premier choice for those in Capital District looking to upgrade their property’s heating and cooling systems. If one thing’s for certain, a tough economy won’t stop this company from succeeding.

`In times like this, you just have to step it up a notch,` said Russo“
