The Guilderland Republican committee issued a statement calling for applicants to run for open positions in the town, although no representatives have been officially selected yet.
Republican Town Councilman Mark Grimm said he is considering for running for the office of Supervisor, although he has not made a final decision.
There’s a desire for change in this town, Grimm said. `There are people urging me to run.`
Town Supervisor Ken Runion, said he has not decided yet if he will run for reelection to defend his seat, and said he is concentrating on budget items and town business at the moment.
Runion, though, said he has received calls harassing him, as they made claims that if he runs again he will lose the seat by a landslide. He said he is not intending to let that affect his decision and said he is not going to be intimidated, and will only make his decision based on how he can best serve residents in Guilderland.
`I’m going to make my decisions based on what I can do for the town,` Runion said.
He said he will make a decision sometime in April or May regarding his candidacy.
