A study performed by CQ Press, an independent publishing company, found that the Town of Colonie is the ninth safest community in the United States.
Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan announced the study’s findings today (Monday, Dec. 1). The study analyzed 400 communities throughout America-many of which having populations of over 75,000.
In speaking of the ranking, Mahan said, No one person can take the credit for this achievement. It is something we all play a role in attaining and it is a testament to the strength of our community.
The Town of Colonie has a population of over 80,000.
