Voters in the Bethlehem School District approved the 2007-2008 budget and chose two new faces to serve on the school board.
Lisa Allendorph and Diane Giacone Stever will each serve three year terms beginning in July. Allendorph and Stever defeated Laura Ladd Bierman and Duane Bowman. Allendorph received 2310 votes and Stever received 2288. The two incoming board members will replace Stuart Lyman and Richard Svenson who decided not to run for another term.
The Bethlehem school budget was approved with 2811 residents voting YES and 2226 voting NO. The $77.2 million dollar budget carries a 3.98 percent tax increase.
Along with the budget voters in the district passed a bus proposition by a vote of 2815 YES and 1947 voting no.
Bethlehem’s Library Budget was easily approved and Yolanda Caldwell defeated Michael Zalob for a five year term on the Bethlehem Library Board of Trustees.
