Albany County legislator Ann Comella passed away Thursday, Feb. 1 from injuries she sustained after colliding with another vehicle on Alternate Route 7 Monday, Jan. 29.
Comella was pronounced dead shortly before 10 a.m. at Albany Medical Center Hospital where she was being treated for serious head injuries.
State Police are still looking into why Comella, 54, a first term Republican legislator of Loudonville drove more than a mile on the wrong side of the road before colliding with another vehicle driven by Kelly Fox, 20, of Altamont.
Comella was the manager of the Loudonville branch of Coldwell Banker Prime Properties. `
