G’land girls advance after beating Kingston 15-8

BURNT HILLS – Guilderland advanced to a the Class A regional play after handily beating Kingston 15-8 on Wednesday, May 31.

The Lady Dutch led 7-3 at the half and then outscored Kingston 8-5 in the second half of play at Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School.

Kadi Futia led the Lady Dutch with four goals and an assist, Kerry Gerety had three goals and two assists and Amanda Nieman and Hayley Kmack had three goals each. Shea Thomson added a goal and an assist and Jamie Golderman had a goal to round out the Lady Dutch offense.

Alexa DiCaprio had eight saves for Guilderland.

Kendal Parker had two goals and two assists for the Section 9 Kingston while Analiese Amato and Juliana Sickler each had two goals. Grace Perry had 11 saves in the losing effort.

Guilderland will play North Rockland of Section 1 on Saturday, June 3, in Suffern.
