ALBANY – A 23-year-old Voorheesville man was arrested on Thursday, April 20, for threatening security guards at the Department of Social Services.
According to Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr., Robert Girouard was upset for being fired from his job as an Albany County security guard and threatened his colleagues at 112 State St. county building by telling them he owned a gun.
He was fired for allegedly stealing an iPad from a co-worker’s locker and was charged with petit larceny on April 18, according to Apple.
He was arrested at his Voorheesville residence and charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.
He was arraigned in the Town of New Scotland court by Judge Robert Johnson and released to probation.
