Dan Adediran’s first-half goal helped Shaker edge Schenectady 1-0 in a Suburban Council boys soccer game Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The Blue Bison dominated the time of possession, but Patriots goaltender Mike Auramidis stood tall and made eight saves. The only shot Auramidis let through was Adediran’s blast inside the left post with 15 minutes left in the first half.
Shaker goaltender Keegan Flaherty stopped three shots to post the shutout.
Elsewhere in the Suburban Council, Shenendehowa overcame an own goal in the first half to dispatch Christian Brothers Academy 3-1.
Trevor Chung led the Plainsmen’s second-half rally with a pair of goals. David Benson assisted on Chung’s first goal and scored the go-ahead goal off a feed from Ky-Air Hamilton.
Ian Swanson stopped three shots in goal for CBA.
