DELMAR — The veterinarians at the Delmar Animal Hospital are continually reviewing products that will best fit the needs of our clients and their pets. In particular, they are focused on parasite preventatives.
As time goes on, new products become available. The hospital has decided to switch its on-shelf flea and tick preventative to Credelio (lotilaner).
Credelio, made by the same company as Interceptor, is a beef-flavored chewable tablet given once a month with food or a treat, and is made with hydrolyzed port, making it less allergenic.
It kills fleas and ticks quicker, in just four hours, and remains just as strong throughout the month.
The product is more economical than its competitors and there are a variety of rebates available to fit different budgets. What about Nexgard? The hospital said Nexgard is a fine product and will continue to be carried in our online pharmacy. Please visit the Covetrus pharmacy to order there.
