DELMAR—On Monday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the Bethlehem Town Hall auditorium, the public is invited to view the current artist proposals for the Art on the Rail Trail mural project under the Cherry Avenue bridge in Delmar.
Four proposals have been selected from artists who proposed and submitted a rendition of what their painting would look like on the pillars under the bridge. Artists will be on hand and Art on the Rail Trail committee members will be present to hear public comments and answer questions.
One muralist will be chosen and an announcement will be made public after the public hearing.
The first mural, painted by Andrea Hersh, depicts a lush and fanciful landscape on the side of a building at 90 Adams Street in Delmar.
Art on the Rail Trail (ART) is a committee of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy. More information can be found on their website, at www.mohawkhudson.org/ART.
