BETHLEHEM – A tree fell on power lines on Thursday, Nov. 30, briefly knocking out power to residents living on the south side of town and into Selkirk.
Sparks caused leaves and brush to catch fire along Murray Road but it was quickly brought under control by the Delmar Fire Department. National Grid was on the scene to replace the lines and possibly the pole too.
Within an hour, power was back on for most of the affected area and only residents living on Murray Road from Feura Bush Road to Route 32 were without juice while repairs were made.
