NEW SCOTLAND — The Albany County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crash that knocked down a utility pole and closed down Krumkill Road late yesterday afternoon, Thursday, Oct. 27.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., one motorist reportedly lost control and ran off Krumkill Road at Fielding Way in the town of New Scotland. The car left the road, hit and severed a utility pole, knocking wires down onto another vehicle on the road.
All three passengers were reportedly trapped in the off-road vehicle, but were extracted out by North Bethlehem Fire Department that reported to the scene. Each walked away with only slight injuries, and refused medical attention.
Yesterday’s weather dealt the Capital District its first taste of winter weather with mixed precipitation that left road slippery for motorists.
