SELKIRK — Bethlehem Police are investigating the cause of a rollover accident on Rte 144 Monday afternoon involving a tractor trailing hauling stone.
The accident took place at approximately 3:50 p.m., Monday, May 16 on Rte 144 at Beaver Dam Road in Selkirk. The tractor trailer was hauling stone when it capsized in the northbound lane, closing traffic on both sides for more than two hours.
Witnesses say the driver was able to remove himself from the truck by kicking out the windshield. The truck was reportedly owned by S M Gallivan out of Troy.
