Hoopla Bonus Borrows
Bonus Borrows are back! From August 1-31, patrons can access select audiobooks, eBooks, comics, and videos from hoopla Digital without using their monthly Instant borrows, and at no cost to libraries. If you aren’t using hoopla yet, call or stop by the library and we’ll help you get set-up. It’s easy to join, and it’s free through your public library.
Matt’s Music Together
Children ages 6 months to 5 years w/caregiver are invited to register to join us for a fun and interactive music class designed especially for little ones and their caregivers. This program will run from 10:15 a.m., to 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 9. Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program. Their core belief is that children can be musical, learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in a social setting, provided that their early environment supports such learning.
Summer Concerts
Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and join us for free concerts on the library lawn this summer. All concerts start at 6:30 p.m., and are family friendly.
•“As Iz” is an Albany area based one-man band, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Join Iz on Thursday, August 17.
•The “Kitty Rodeo” band rounds up roots rock, country and blues with an emphasis on the female perspective. Join them on Thursday, August 24.
Voorheesville
History Walk
Take a trip down memory lane with local history guide Dennis Ulion at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, September 9. Learn about how Voorheesville became what it is today. You will want to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as this walk is 2.2 miles and will take 2.5 hours. Subject to rain cancellation. Please register online.
