Voorheesville Public Library is excited to keep our community reading, learning and exploring with the Summer Adventure @ the Voorpl.
Please visit our website to make an account to track reading progress beginning on June 1.
The READSquared software has sections for preschoolers, children, teens and adults – so why not register yourself along with your children?
There will be prize incentives to keep participants recording their progress through our end date – Friday, August 12.
Substance Abuse Prevention 101
Parents of students in grades 5 and up are invited to join us on Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m for this all important prevention program.
Parents are the number one influence on a teen’s decision not to use alcohol and drugs.
Guest speakers Diane Blinn and Chris Gilhooly, both Licensed Clinical Social Workers, will prepare parents to lower their child’s risk of abusing substances through clear communication and consequences.
Parents will leave this program ready to begin substance abuse prevention conversations with their middle and high school-aged students.
Please register.
