RCS Community Library news: Take and Make Tuesday

Spotlight Newsroom by Spotlight Newsroom
March 31, 2022
in Blogs, Coeymans, Community Blogs, Towns
Reading Time: 2 mins read

Just in time for spring, make super easy rustic carrots with newspaper, tape and twine. Pick up begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5.

Found Poetry Workshop

Join us on Wednesday, April 6, at 11 a.m. for our Found Poetry Workshop.

Found poetry is a type of poetry created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them by making changes in spacing and lines, or by adding or deleting text, thus imparting new meaning.

In this workshop we will construct a poem together as a group, then break off to create individual masterpieces. We will provide materials, but feel free to bring your favorite book for inspiration.

Fiber Arts Meetup

Do you love fiber arts? Knitting, crochet, weaving or anything with yarn? Come hang out with fellow fiber art crafters, meet new people and bring your own projects.  Saturday, April 2, at 11 a.m. Sign up today!

Lunchtime Books

This installment of Lunchtime Books will cover the Michelle Zauner novel, “Crying in H Mart,” on Thursday, April 21, at noon.

“Michelle Zauner has written a book you experience with all of your senses: sentences you can taste, paragraphs that sound like music. She seamlessly blends stories of food and memory, sumptuousness and grief, to weave a complex narrative of loyalty and loss.”

—Rachel Syme

Books are available at the Library. New members are welcome!

— Carol Melewski
