ALBANY — We previously visited Vince Palmeri just before his performance at Rocktoberfest last October, and according to Ambassador Music Group, the local pop artist has been very busy.
“He has a bunch more material in the pipeline,” said Andrew Gabriel, co-owner and artist manager of AMG.
Palmeri has lived in the Capital District for the past two years but his talent was only discovered last year through an artist application program conducted by AMG. The Albany-based management group launched Palmeri’s debut video “The Rush” last summer, after which it garnered more than 1,000 views in the first 24 hours.
In Palmeri’s latest video, produced by Simone Ermacora and Theory, he showcases another pop gem. “Complicated” features a protagonist conflicted with his place in the world and how he should handle his feelings towards the woman he loves, portrayed by local musician Kyla Silk.
This sinking feeling’s tearing me up inside
I don’t wanna bring you down when our worlds collide
It’s always haunting me on the other side
I want you I can’t deny but it feels so complicated
The three-minute video, directed by Black Mountain Visuals, was shot in several locations throughout the Capital City, including the Hollow, North Pearl Street and AMA Cocina. Click on the video below and see what other locations you can identify.
