SPOTTED: The Lisha Kill Middle School Drama Club presents Seussical Jr.

COLONIE — The production of Suessical Jr. by the Lisha Kill Middle School Drama Club will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 7 through Feb. 9.

It is a fun, high-energy production with complex choreography, fantastic costumes, a great set and solid, upbeat music.

It is worth a look.

The play transforms the Lisha Kill auditorium into the world of Dr. Seuss complete with his best known charters including the Cat in the Hat, JoJo, Horton and Gertrude McFuzz.

The cast includes:

  • JoJo: Adriana Pape
  • The Cat in the Hat: Eliza Irons
  • Horton: Angelo Polito
  • Gertrude McFuzz: Audrey Oberg
  • Mayzie LaBird: Hannah Slater
  • Mr. Mayor: Connor Ploof
  • Mrs. Mayor: Abby Santpree
  • Sour Kangaroo: Danyella Bradley
  • Baby Kangaroo: Emma Overly
  • Yertle the Turtle: Mari Froehlich

The play is directed and choreographed by Christine Meglino and produced by Christina Coogan. The musical director and sound guy is Brandon Malowski with set construction and design by Richard Coogan. Costume design is by Maura Pickett and lighting is Aram Taleporos.

The show is at the Lisha Kill Middle School Auditorium and it starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday with Sunday’s show beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 with children under 5 years old admitted free.
