SPOTTED: Rockin’ on the River with Skeeter Creek and Raquel & the Wildflowers

TROY — Rockin’ on the River got off to a soggy start, but never let it be said a little rain would stop Skeeter Creek from having a good time, or putting on a good show.

Despite the sporadic rain that was heavy at times, Skeeter Creek brought its brand of country rock to the Collar City’s weekly summer concert series at Riverfront Park on Wednesday, June 5 and didn’t disappoint.

The opening act Raquel & The Wildflowers proved a perfect complement to the crowd favorite Skeeter Creek, and the two bands merged for a few songs to close the show.

The series continues every Wednesday at 5 p.m. through Aug. 7 with next show featuring Live at the Fillmore — The Definitive Original Allman Brothers Band Tribute.
