TROY — The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District is excited to announce Gabriel Sanchez Presents The Prince Experience as the sixth performer for the annual Rockin’ on the River concert series in Riverfront Park! The series begins on Wednesday, June 6 and runs through August 8 with nine weeks of free family-friendly live music, along with sunset views of the Hudson River. Gabriel Sanchez Presents The Prince Experience will perform on July 18, 2018, on a summer roster of talented musicians, both local and national, emerging and seasoned- all excited to give Troy concertgoers a great time! We welcome music fans to shop, dine and explore downtown Troy before and after the concerts. The concerts will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Riverfront Park, located between historic downtown Troy and the scenic Hudson River.
Drawing from the late musician’s Prince’s wide variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, new wave, soul, psychedelia, and pop, Gabriel Sanchez puts on a performance like no other. With hours studying Prince’s songs, mannerisms and performance and growing the act into a full set, with lighting and costumes; alongside talented musicians, the hard work has paid off. Gabriel Sanchez Presents The Prince Experience has been traveling all over the US for over ten years and creates an even more poignant experience now more than ever. The success afforded Sanchez the opportunity to do something he’d long wanted to do: play music full time and party like it’s 1999! No stranger to downtown Troy, the talented neo-soul musician Adrian Lewis is the opening act.
