ALBANY — Washington Park is going to get a little more caliente this weekend.
Now in its 21st year, Albany LatinFest 2016 is guaranteed to put a little spring in everyone’s step with a rich line-up of live music and entertainment. The event is staged in Albany’s Washington Park at the end of August each year from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Albany LatinFest is a full day, family-oriented festival with musical performances highlighting the diversity of Hispanic musical genres; a wide array of food, arts and crafts vendors; children’s amusements; and community, government, and business information booths.
Headlining this year’s entertainment is Los Sabrosos de la Bachata Y El Tipico, Grupo Rebolu and Grammy Award-winning producer Charlie Donato. And, from noon to 7 p.m., DJ Sir Walfold provides the music.
The Albany LatinFest KidZone features a wide variety of activities that includes games of agility, soccer skills, relay races, bean bag toss, laser tag, bounces houses, arts and crafts.
