Night: Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival
OAK HILL — There will be a lot of picking and singing at this year’s Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival July 14-17 at the Walsh Farm, just off County Route 22.
Dozens of national and regional bluegrass bands are scheduled to perform on three stages, including a pairing of banjo master Bela Fleck and mandolin maestro Chris Thile, dobro giant Jerry Douglas and his band, The Earls of Leicester, and two-time IBMA Entertainers of the Year the Gibson Brothers. There will also be a tribute to Dr. Ralph Stanley at the close of the evening Saturday, July 16.

Day: Troy Pig Out
TROY — Do you love barbecue food? Do you love music? If so, the Troy Pig Out is for you.
The annual day-long food and music festival takes place Saturday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Troy’s Riverfront Park. At the heart of this event is the annual barbecue contest, where the public can sample dozens of flame-grilled delights and vote for their favorites.
Performers include Niki Lee, Matt Durfee and the Rattling Baddlies, Sly Fox & the Hustlers, the El Dorado’s, Jocamo and Big Sky Country.
