ALBANY COUNTY Colonie jumped out to a 35-20 halftime lead on its way to a 58-48 victory over Averill Park in a Suburban Council boys basketball game Friday, Jan. 29.
Brendan Mulson scored 22 points, and Isaiah Moll contributed 21 points for the Garnet Raiders. Isaiah Moak’s 31 points paced the Warriors.
Christian Brothers Academy used a 22-point second quarter to take the lead and stay in front in a 69-59 victory over Saratoga Springs.
Mike Wynn led three CBA players in double figures with 21 points. Sloan Seymour chipped in with 20 points, and Ian Schultz added 17 points. Adam Anderson paced Saratoga with 19 points.
Brian Hayes’ 29-point performance wasn’t enough for Shaker to overcome a 20-point halftime deficit in a 72-60 loss at Albany.
Trayvon Reynolds and Maurice Skeen each scored 16 points for the Falcons. Jake Cook netted 10 points for the Blue Bison.
Guilderland rolled past Mohonasen 56-33. Andrew Sischo had 20 points, and Justin Monin added 12 points for the Dutchmen, who led 21-7 after the first eight minutes.
Bethlehem eased past Ballston Spa 76-46 on the road. Hayden and Zane Thompson each netted 14 points, and Braden LaClair contributed 12 points for the Eagles. Jack Fitzgerald led the Scotties with 16 points.
In Colonial Council action, Voorheesville defeated Cobleskill-Richmondville 66-58, while LaSalle pulled away for a 62-49 victory over Watervliet.
Scott Glasheen poured in 25 points, and Sean Nolan chipped in with 16 points for Voorheesville, which outscored Cobleskill 21-10 in the third quarter to break open a close game. Keenan Loder netted 22 points, and Brennan Loder added 18 points for the Bulldogs.
Tim Carroll had 16 points for LaSalle, which used a 22-point fourth quarter to put distance between it and Watervliet. Dominick Parker contributed 15 points for the Cadets.
Ty’Jon Gilmore scored 16 points, and Joey Atkins added 13 points for the Cannoneers.
Loudonville Christian opened the game on a 26-7 run and cruised to a 76-47 Central Hudson Valley League win against New Lebanon. Jonathan Schafer had 22 points, and Adam Speno contributed 20 points for the Eagles.
