Shaker scored twice late in the first half and pulled away for a 3-1 victory over Christian Brothers Academy Tuesday, Sept. 15, in a Suburban Council boys soccer game.
Brent Durante scored off a feed from Vikram Mangat to get the Blue Bison (5-1-1) on the board four minutes before halftime. Then in the final minute of the first half, Nick Hinkell was fouled in the CBA penalty box. Pat Mahoney converted the penalty kick for a 2-0 Shaker lead.
Jared Croteau tallied early in the second half to increase Shaker’s lead to three goals. CBA’s Noah Keith scored late in the half to end Shaker’s shutout bid.
