Eric Mueller’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning drove in the winning run as Bethlehem rallied past Saratoga 6-5 in Tuesday’s Suburban Council baseball game.
The Eagles (5-2 league, 7-2 overall) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Blue Streaks (2-5, 4-5) scored the next five runs of the game to build a three-run advantage going into the bottom of the fourth. Bethlehem scored twice in its half of the fourth inning and added the tying run in the fifth to set up Mueller’s heroics in the seventh.
Mueller finished with two hits, and Sam Powers added a double and a single for the Eagles. Reliever Connor Costello picked up the victory.
Alex Chandler had three hits for Saratoga.
