Shaker/Colonie rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie Christian Brothers Academy 2-2 in Saturday’s Capital District High School Hockey league game at the Albany County Hockey Facility.
Two Chase Crawford goals gave the Brothers (6-2-2 league, 7-5-3 overall) their lead, but Nick Dennis tallied midway through the third period and Brendon Closs added the tying goal with 1:38 left in regulation for the Jets (6-1-2, 7-2-3).
Shaker/Colonie goaltender Zach Dignum had 22 saves, while CBA netminder Kyle Stockman stopped 30 shots.
In another CDHSHL game, Shenendehowa (7-1-1, 9-5-1) used a balanced attack to defeat Bethlehem 7-2 at the Bethlehem Area YMCA.
Andrew Carroll scored 5:23 into the first period to give the Eagles (4-3-2, 6-6-2) a 1-0 lead before the Plainsmen took control. Ryan Mortka and Kevin Miles tallied to put Shen ahead 2-1 after the first 15 minutes, and Nick Quigley and Max Papele added goals in the second period to extend the lead.
Peter Russo, Peter Sacks and Nick Hansen scored in the third period for Shen, while Adam Liebold tallied for Bethlehem.
