It’s that time of year again when we ask you to pick the best high school sports team from the fall season. Your choices are:
Niskayuna field hockey — The Silver Warriors reached the state semifinals after beating Suffern 2-0 for the Class A regional title.
Niskayuna girls soccer — The Silver Warriors had the best overall record in the Suburban Council at 15-1-0 and were ranked No. 1 among Class AA teams in New York.
Schalmont football — The Sabres won the Class B West Division title and reached the Section II title game for the fourth consecutive year.
Schalmont girls soccer — The Sabres ran through the Section II season and advanced to the state semifinals after beating Plattsburgh 3-0 in last weekend’s Class B regional final.
Scotia-Glenville boys soccer — The Tartans tied Broadalbin-Perth for the Foothills Council title and defeated the defending state champion Patriots two out of the three times they met this season.
