LATHAM — The Shaker girls coasted by the Flying Horses from Troy 7-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 13, to open the season 4-0.
Shaker jumped out to an early lead on a goal by Eleanor Keough, assisted by Micaela Tahoe. Lindsey McCulloch followed with a goal on an assist by Lauren Foglia, Tahoe scored on an assist by Ava Scattereggia and Alina Lagage scored on an assist by Scattereggia to give the Bison a 4-0 lead heading into the half.
Tahoe scored to start the second half on an assist by Plivia Pardo, Lagace got an unassisted goal and Hannah Bouchard scored the seventh goal of the night on an assist by Tahoe.
Shaker will play its first league game of the year at Ballston Spa on Thursday, Sept. 15, play at Burnt Hills on Sept. 20 and play at Columbia on Thursday, Sept. 22.
