SPOTTED: Bethlehem gymnasts get by Shaker

LATHAM — The Bethlehem gymnastics team got by Shaker by an overall score of 157.6 to 146.875 on Sunday, Jan. 24, at the World Class Gymnastics Academy.

Alison Gray led the Eagles with an all-around score of 33.575 while Alyssa Kearns of Shaker placed second with a combined 32.95 and Bethlehem’s Chloe Kosoc placed third with 31.85.

Kearns won the vault with a score of 8.425 while Bethlehem’s Mia Farley placed second with an 8.2 and Gray finished third with an 8.1.

On the bars, Gray score a 7.9, Farley had a 7.5 and Kosoc had a 7.3.

Kearns won the beam with an 8.625, Gray placed second with an 8.5 and Shaker’s Alyssa Caiano placed third with an 8.15.

Gray won the floor exercise with a score of 9.075, Kearns finished second with a 9 followed by Kosoc with an 8.75.

The competition was held off campus, and each team competed at different times to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Regrettably, there are no photos of the Shaker team.
