COLONIE — The Garnet Raiders rolled over the Dutch from Guilderland on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the first round of the Class AA, Section II tournament by a score of 64-37.
Colonie, the No. 6 seed, will go up against the No. 3 seed from Saratoga on Saturday, Feb. 29 at Hudson Valley Community College. Tip is slated for 4 p.m.
The winner of that game will play in the semifinals at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls on March 3 against the winner of No. 2 seed Green Tech and No. 7 seed Columbia.
In the Guilderland game, Colonie’s Marcus Shelton led all scorers with 20 while Brendan Cole had 14 and Victor Pharr chipped in seven. Ryan Teaney had nine points for Guilderland, which came into the tournament as the No. 11 seed.
